Climate Name Change

We often feel a disconnect between the changes happening in our climate and our own personal impact.

Idea

Change the current naming system of storms from randomly selected names, such as Katrina and Sandy, to the names of actual United States policy makers who deny climate change.

Execution

An online video that drives to ClimateNameChange.org, where viewers could sign the petition, learn about climate change deniers and tweet at them directly.

Notes

The idea itself is genius and the film they created really hits home. Great idea to create fake news broadcasts that show the effect that changing the names would have. It’s only once you see the film that you realise how directly responsible climate change denyers are for the climate crisis.
